Active Cafes

Planning a ride or a walk but don’t know where to stop for coffee and cake? Here’s a map of DCV’s favourite active cafes in the North East of England and beyond (as well as some suggested by others).

Active Cafes are establishments (cafes and tearooms) that we know, or have heard, welcome active patrons like cyclists and walkers offering ambience, food and coffee (or beverage of your choice) of such quality that you’d happily turn out in a storm. 

In this day and age establishments come and go, sometimes even the best can’t survive, so we’d like to give them our custom.
