Club Runs

Friendly, informal club runs are usually held Saturday & Sunday from Low Burnhall, Durham. Saturday’s ride is a bit quicker (16 mph average), longer and hillier. Both are ‘no-drop’ but if you don’t feel confident of your ability to stay with the group, starting with the easier Sunday ride is a good idea.

Racing

While DCV was founded around the social club run, more and more of our members enjoy competition and racing – in time-trials, cyclo-cross and road racing. All are easily accessible irrespective of age, experience or ability and are an option for anyone who wants to give them a go.

Social Evenings

We leave bikes and lycra at home on the first Monday of the month when we congregate informally at the Kingslodge Inn, Waddington Street, Durham City DH1 4BG from 7 pm. It’s a great opportunity to meet clubmates, current and potential, in a comfortable, relaxed setting. All welcome.
