• British Cycling (BC) UK’s largest cycling organisation and national governing body for cyclesport. Also administers race licences for competition and offers cycle insurance
• Cycling UK (CUK) UK cycling charity with a membership of over 70,000. Predominantly a campaign group that also offers cycle insurance
• TLI Cycling (TLI) Formerly The League International, a voluntary organisation promoting accessible ‘grass roots’ cycling in the UK. Helps organise competitive events for all abilities and age groups. Membership includes cycle insurance.

Time Trials

• Northumberland & Durham Cycling Association (NDCA) Organises ‘Best All Rounder’ (BAR) & individual distance championships for North East time-triallists
• Veterans Time Trials Association (VTTA) UK organisation promoting events, competitions and championships for time-triallists over the age of 40
• Cycling Time Trials (CTT) National Governing Body for time trials in England, Scotland and Wales

Audax

• Audax UK (AUK) The original site of the internationally recognised long distance cycling club in the UK. Administers non-competitive long distance cycling in all its forms within the United Kingdom
